Working with Families

Building Blocks Stay and Play and
Baby and Toddler Equipment Loan Service

Building Blocks is a Stay and Play session which meets on Wednesday afternoons in term time from 12 – 2pm.  It takes place here in the café and is open to all parents/carers with their children.

Alongside this we operate a Baby and Toddler Equipment Loan Service which is available for those who are in receipt of benefits (or who have otherwise been referred to us).  We have highchairs, pushchairs, cots, travel cots and stairgates etc. all available on a loan basis – subject to a returnable deposit.

The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree Project runs each year to provide Christmas presents to those children in Coventry who otherwise wouldn’t receive them.  Last year (2020) we were pleased to be able to run the project despite covid and were able to help 1137 children from 456 families. This was a particularly high number and it highlighted to us the particular problems that Covid has caused for many families living below the breadline in Coventry.  This is an amazing opportunity to share God’s love with the people of Coventry

2021 – we are again running this important project.  We rely entirely on donations and grants to fund the project so if you would like to donate gifts to us please use our Amazon wish list or contact Sarah for an ideas list and your closest drop off point, please note:  there are restrictions on the gifts we can accept.  If you would like to donate financially to support this project please use the bank details and label your gift GT2021.  If you would like project updates and a receipt for your gift please email

Alternatively, are you worried about buying Christmas presents this year? – We can provide presents for any Coventry children aged 16 and under living at your address, if you are receipt of housing and child benefit (or those elements of Universal Credit).

In order to qualify please contact Sarah White on, or Whatsapp or text 07927 090451.  We will ask for evidence of your eligibility.
